Issues that will be discussed in P8 include:

• integration of top-down and bottoms-up;
• extent of GEO into the decision able information vs data;
• communication of directions and benefits
• engaging social and economic sciences in GEO
• realistic boundaries - "own what we must and influence what we can" - focus on targets
• where does sustainability fit into GEOSS
• Insitu and remote sensing - working together
• private sector engagement
• interrelation of global and national

P8 is focused on the next three years and therefore the current work plan the the 2015 strategic targets as a base for consideration.
