Anik Bhaduri

Dr. Anik Bhaduri has joined Global Water System Project (GWSP) recently as an executive officer (a.i). Before joining GWSP, he was a Senior Researcher at the Center for Development Research (ZEF), University of Bonn. At ZEF, he was one of the project coordinator (economics) of the recently concluded research project titled 'Economic and Ecological Restructuring of Land and Water Use in the Region Khorezm (Uzbekistan)'. With a background in environment and natural resource economics, he has specialized in water resource management. He has worked on several topics and projects in water resource management, ranging from trans-boundary water sharing to adaptive water management under climate change. Dr. Bhaduri obtained his PhD degree from University of Wyoming, USA. After his PhD, he worked as a research fellow in resource economics for the International Water Management Institute (IWMI). He was involved there in doing the economic analysis of India's National River linking Project. His current research areas include climate change impacts and adaptive water management through incentive based approaches, and role of scarcity in virtual water flow. He has published several research papers in peer reviewed international journals.
